The Santa Barbara Public Library System is excited to announce the addition of thousands of popular movies, TV shows, music, eBooks, audiobooks, and comics available for mobile and online access to stream or download 24/7 with a valid Santa Barbara Public Library card.

Library card holders can download the Hoopla app to their IOS or Android smartphone or tablet, or visit www.hoopladigital.com to gain instant access to films from major Hollywood studios, popular music, eBooks and audiobooks from major publishers, and comics. All content is available to enjoy immediately, with no holds, no waiting, and no overdue fees—titles automatically expire after their due date. Santa Barbara Public Library System patrons can checkout as many as 10 items per month.

“Adding the Hoopla collection to our list of digital resources brings us one step closer to putting library collections into the hands of our users—wherever they are,” stated Santa Barbara Public Library Director, Jessica Cadiente.

“Our users want popular material that they can stream or download now—with no waiting or holds lists—Hoopla offers that service. And with new content added weekly, patrons will have instant access to brand new movies, music, TV shows, eBooks, audiobooks, and comics,” Cadiente added.

The Santa Barbara Public Library System joins the group of other major library systems throughout the country to offer Hoopla to their communities, including the Los Angeles Public Library, San Francisco Public Library, Seattle Public Library, Chicago Public Library, and Boston Public Library among others.

Information about Santa Barbara Public Library System locations, hours, events, and programs is available at SBPLibrary.org. All Library programs are free and open to the public.
