Hundreds of Allan Hancock College students and staff are honoring the memory of their lost loved ones this week as part of Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. An altar featuring photographs and other memorabilia of family, friends, and even pets who have passed away, has been steadily growing inside the college’s Writing Center.

Students and staff will officially recognize Dia de los Muertos with an end of the week celebration from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday, October 27, on the Academic Resource Center patio, which is located in building L-South.

Mexican sweet bread and hot chocolate will be served.
