Highway 154 from Santa Ynez Valley to Santa Barbara was closed in both directions as of 6 a.m. this morning, according to Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol. It has now reopened to travelers in both directions.

There was a rock slide that shut down the highway for a time until Caltrans could clear it. Those that needed to travel north and south were advised to use Highway 101.

There is also significant rain system headed towards the Central Coast, so slow down and use caution.
