A cabin fire at Zaca Lake just north of Los Olivos, also started a small vegetation fire and crews will be on scene all night, according to Mike Eliason, public information officer for Santa Barbara County Fire.

The fire was reported at 5:40 p.m. and the cabin is a total loss, Eliason said. He added the vegetation fire was about three to fives acres.

Nine engine crews from SBC Fire as well as the U.S. Forest Service, as well as several dozers, helicopters and hand crews responded and they quickly got a line around the fire as well as stopping forward movement. The steep terrain as well as weather conditions will keep several crews overnight, however the dozers and helicopters were called off for the night, Eliason added.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
