The Solvang Fall Festival will kick off with live music from local band the Mad Caddies, who start their 25th anniversary tour this year. The
inaugural Solvang Fall Festival will be a 3-day event featuring 25 bands on 2 stages, a carnival—including a ferris wheel on Copenhagen Drive—craft beer and wine gardens, and plenty of food and retail vendors.
The Mad Caddies have sold more than 400,000 albums and will be playing a free concert on Saturday, November 16th at Solvang Park at 8 p.m.
The Mad Caddies are a ska band that were formed in 1995 by Chuck Robertson, Sascha Lazor, Todd Rosenberg and Carter Benson. Benson has since left the band, and it has added Keith Douglas, Ed Hernandez, Dustin Lanker and Graham Palmer.
More than 20 additional bands including local favorites Will Ridge, Frank Palmer, Vineyard Byrds, Bear Redell, Soul Cats and The Kicks will be playing at Solvang Park. The Solvang Fall Fest will also feature Santa Barbara based Cornerstone Reggae, DJ Hecktik, New Vibe, Wall of Tom, Dusty Jugs and Lompoc’s own Richie Rey.
The Copenhagen Stage will feature the Solvang Fall Festivals’ Battle of the Bands on Saturday and Sunday! Six local teen-aged bands will battle it for the inaugural Solvang Fall Fest Battle of the Bands and a $500 cash prize!

Another part of this family friendly event is a full carnival and games that will take place in the parking lot at Solvang Park and on Copenhagen Drive. There will be a ferris wheel on Copenhagen Drive and plenty or rides for all ages, with all the great carnival games people love to play!
Several Craft Beer and Wine Gardens will be located throughout Solvang Park, 1st Street and Solvang Park parking lot. Solvang’s own Solvang Brewing Company will be the primary craft beer sponsor and Buellton’s Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. will also be a proud sponsor. Local wineries Lucas and Lewellen, and Casa Cassara will also be featured.
The Schedule will be:
Friday: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
On Saturday, November 16th there will be a Tasting Event called Suds at Solvang Park. More than 20 craft breweries and wineries will be on site, and guests can sample from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. for just $35. (Tickets available at www.solvangfallfest.com).
Local restaurants and visiting food vendors will have plenty of options for you to enjoy throughout the weekend. We will also have a great selection of street faire vendors on site all weekend.
The Solvang Fall Festival is proud to be supporting the Solvang Arts and Music Foundation. SAM has partnered with Solvang School to establish vibrant Music and Arts Education programs integrated throughout Kindergarten through Grade 8 curriculum providing excellence and breadth in education to Solvang’s students.
