A vehicle has caught on fire after a woman was allegedly reported trapped inside following an accident at the three bridges south of Buellton this afternoon.
Highway 101 has been shut down temporarily so the medical helicopter can land to pick up the woman who was freed by emergency personnel, according to a witness on scene.
The accident was reported just after 12:30 p.m. according to the California Highway Patrol.
The traffic information site also indicated it could be involved in another hit and run accident at Highway 101 and Alissa Canyon Road near Los Alamos.
