Staff Report
Santa Ynez Valley residents are encouraged to help support their neighbors by donating food, funds or warm clothing as part of People Helping People’s special efforts for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Members of Los Olivos Rotary and the Interact Club at Dunn School will accept donations of turkeys, cash or checks, and coats, from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at St. Mark’s-in-the-Valley Church in Los Olivos and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Old Mission Santa Ines.
Coats can be new or gently worn. Turkeys can be fresh or frozen.
The drop-off stations will be arranged so that donors won’t need to leave their vehicles. Checks should be made out to People Helping People with “Turkey Drive” in the memo line for those who want to donate monetarily.
