‘Annie’ presented by SYV Community Theater, 7 p.m.
The SYV Community Theater, with funding support from the City of Buellton’s Arts and Culture Committee, will present its production of “Annie,” on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18. The program brings together local performers and professional guest artists in a collaborative, educational environment, offering mentorship, workshops, and hands-on theatrical experience while creating a high-quality, community-driven production.
Annie is the beloved, Tony Award–winning musical that tells the heartwarming story of a spirited orphan whose optimism and courage change the lives of everyone around her. Set during the Great Depression, the show features unforgettable songs like “Tomorrow,” “It’s the Hard-Knock Life,” and “Maybe,” and celebrates hope, family, and the power of kindness.
Tickets are $10 for kids and $15 adults with a $5 facility fee.

29th Annual Neal Taylor Nature Center Fish Derby
The Neal Taylor Nature Center Fish Derby is an annual event that has been taking place at Cachuma Lake in Santa Barbara since the mid 1990s. Every year, hundreds of people venture out for weekend of fun, fishing, and festivities. Over $5,000 in cash prizes, raffles, merchandise and more! The event also hosts a variety of activities and people of all ages are welcome to participate. Along with the fishing competitions, other activities include arts & crafts, workshops, bait-making stations, live music at HOOK’d bar & grill, boat rentals, an on-site disc golf course, and several biking and hiking trails surrounding Cachuma Lake.
This event is a fundraiser for The Neal Taylor Nature Center at Cachuma Lake, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Vineyard Hike at Zaca Mesa Winery, 9 to 11 a.m.
Step into a brand new guided hiking experience that goes beyond our traditional vineyard walks. This route takes you along the Black Bear Trail, where you’ll encounter steady inclines that reward you with breathtaking panoramic views at every turn. Along the way, our team will bring the landscape to life, sharing stories, insights, and a deeper connection to the land.
Explore the full trail with us or turn back at the Black Bear Block for a shorter journey. Expect about 1.5 hours for the full walk, or around 45 minutes for the out-and-back. The trail features hard-packed soil, plenty of elevation to keep things exciting, and views that make every step worth it.
After the hike, head back to the winery to relax with a leisurely lunch and a glass of Zaca Mesa & TREAD wines included with your ticket!
Tickets are $50 for club members and veterans at $65 for general admission.
