The Wildling Museum invites anyone interested in exploring their own creativity to spend a day dedicated to art. Two talented artists have designed workshops for those who want to learn something new or for those who want to better hone their skills.

Join artist Chris Chapman from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on September 10, to create beautiful and miniature abstract landscapes with collage and found objects from nature. Be a gatherer in your own back yard and bring your treasures into the classroom to embellish torn paper compositions. Enjoy no-stress artmaking in a fun and sharing environment. Registration is $50 for Wildling Museum Members and $55 for Non-Members.

Artist Kathy Badrak will be creating a colorful gourd bowl with a web design in the center of the gourd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 1. This class is suitable for any level of experience with techniques and/or materials. The students should be able to finish their gourd bowl during the class and will be furnished with an approximate 6 – 7 inch diameter gourd.  Each gourd will have been cut, cleaned and will be class ready. All necessary tools, transparent ink dyes, gloves, sealers, and the natural materials, needed for creating the gourd bowl will be provided. Registration is $45 for Wildling Museum Members and $55 for Non-Members.

The Wildling Museum, where art and nature meet, offers visitors a unique perspective on the importance of preserving our natural heritage. Through the eyes of artists, education and field experiences, guests can renew their relationship with the wilderness and understand its fragile nature – hopefully leaving more committed toward ensuring those spaces remain for future generations.
