The Bar Fire which began Wednesday afternoon in Venedito Canyon near Refugio Canyon was quickly contained to 20 acres, according to fire officials.
Aircraft support from the Rey Fire were quick to fly over as air tankers dropped line after line of fire retardant on the hillsides.
The fire was called in around 4:30 p.m. north of Highway 101, one mile up Refugio Canyon, according to Santa Barbara County Fire.
There were no reports of structures damaged or lost. A power outage was reported but fire officials say it’s too soon to tell if it was related to the fire.
