The COVID-19 case count rose by 56 as of Sunday, according to Santa Barbara County Public Health officials. The majority of the cases were at the Lompoc Federal Penitentiary and of the other three was one from Santa Barbara and two in Santa Maria.
There have been 12,010 tests done to date with 10,438 testing negative; 1474 positive and 98 are inconclusive.
There are three locations to get tested, with the Lompoc site having the most availability, according to public health. Screening and appointments are available between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Those who wish to make an appointment can visit https://lhi.care/covidtesting or call 888-634-1123. The test costs will be billed to health insurance, or will be free.
There were no new cases in San Luis Obispo County as of Sunday.
