Highway 154 from Santa Ynez Valley to Santa Barbara is now open to traffic in both directions, however Paradise Road remains closed due to the Rey Fire, according to officials.
The more than 500-acre fast moving fire started Thursday afternoon around 3 p.m. near the White Rock Campground. It forced the evacuation of about 300 residents and visitors in the area, said Mike Eliason of Santa Barbara County Fire.
The fire is burning north of Lake Cachuma and heading into the backcountry. We will post more updates when available.
