A project to repair a failed embankment and restore the structural section of the shoulder of northbound US Highway 101 just north of the Separation with Highway 154 will begin on Monday, August 13, starting with an overnight closure.
Motorists will encounter intermittent closures of the No. 2 northbound lane of US 101 Monday through Friday from 8 am until 4 pm.
In addition, the northbound on-ramp from Highway 154 to US Highway 101 will be closed on Monday, August 13 during the overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the installation of protective barrier.
Motorists in the Santa Ynez/Chumash Casino area may detour from Highway 246 to State Route 154 to reach northbound US 101.
Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 10 minutes.
The contractor for this $314,000 project is CalPortland Construction of Santa Maria, CA. This project is expected to be completed this September.
