Sign-ups have begun for young golfers to play in this season’s PGA Junior League in Buellton.

PGA junior leagues try to change the way golf is learned and played through a fun, team-oriented approach,” said local PGA professional Bob Kotowski.

Boys and girls of all skill levels learn the game with expert coaching and guidance from PGA and LPGA professional captains, wear numbered jerseys, and compete on teams with friends in a two-person scramble format that encourages mentorship and builds confidence.

“The Junior League is an opportunity for youth to have a great time learning this fun game and play area golf courses,” said Kotowski, the local coach.

Team participation is limited to the first 12 junior golfers age 13 and under. Visit www.pgajrleague.com to sign up.

Complimentary clinics for youth of all skill levels will also continue at Zaca Creek Golf Course, 223 Shadow Mountain Drive in Buellton, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. every Saturday through June. For more information, go to www.oldeschoolgolfschool.com.
