Solvang honored again for financial reporting

For the 28th time, Solvang’s Finance Department has achieved the highest honor for its work from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting recognizes excellence in preparing a comprehensive annual financial report known as the CAFR.
The Finance Department, led by Administrative Services Director Sandra Featherson, is primarily responsible for preparing the report, which recognizes a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to easily read and understand the docum
