A vegetation fire was reported around 2:15 a.m. on Hollister Ranch, according to SBC Fire.
“Upon arrival they upped response to a second alarm of four more engines, dozers and hand crews,” said Cpt. Daniel Bertucelli.
He added it was initially around 20 acres with potential for 500 acres with the offshore winds. Another update said it was around 200 acres, moving quickly in 20 mph winds.
There was an evacuation warning in place but no structures are currently threatened.
