Santa Barbara County have confirmed 26 positive cases of COVID-19 as of Wednesday, March 25, at their daily press briefing.

Public health officials identified the communities in which the patients live as:

  • 6 in Santa Maria
  • 5 in Orcutt
  • 10 in Santa Barbara
  • 5 in Carpinteria-Montecito-Summerland area

Health officials say 19 of the patients are currently recovering at home and one patient is in the hospital. Six other patients were considered fully recovered.

Travel in Santa Barbara County is down significantly since the governor’s order to stay at home and public health officials pleaded the public to continue social distancing in order to slow the spread of coronavirus.
