The Rey Fire burning between Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Barbara exploded overnight and is now up to 10,732 acres and at 10 percent containment according to fire officials.
Last night officials said it was at 3,000 acres and 20 percent contained.
The fire started Thursday afternoon just before 3 p.m. near the White Rock Campgrounds, said Mike Eliason of Santa Barbara County Fire.
Highway 154 was closed at Highway’s 246 on the Santa Ynez side, and 192 on the Santa Barbara side, until about 9 p.m. last night. Paradise road is still closed at this time, according to Caltrans officials.
