Star Report

The resurfacing of a nine-mile section of US Highway 101 from Hollister Road to Refugio Road will continue over the next four weeks with paving of the northbound/southbound lanes. Motorists will encounter alternating lane closures on northbound Hwy. 101 Monday through Friday from 4 a.m. until 3 p.m. and southbound from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm.

Electronic message boards will be activated to inform the public about this roadwork. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be present to ensure the safety of motorists and highway workers.  Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 15 minutes. This resurfacing project will ensure a smooth ride for motorists who travel on this section of US Highway 101.

The contractor for this $4.7 million project is Granite Construction of Santa Barbara, CA.  This project is expected to be complete this December.
