A project to widen the bridge and replace railing along US Highway 101 near Buellton from south of the Nojoqui Creek Bridge to south of the Santa Rosa Road Overcrossing will result in full overnight closures in both directions of US 101 beginning Sunday night, May 2 through Friday, May 7 from 9 pm until 5 am.

Motorists heading northbound will detour from US 101 at the Santa Rosa Road Overcrossing to Avenue of the Flags before returning to US 101 at State Route 246.  Motorists headed southbound will detour from US 101 at State Route 246 to the Avenue of the Flags before returning to US 101 at the Santa Rosa Road Overcrossing. Delays should not exceed 10 minutes.

In addition, one lane remains closed in each direction across the Nojoqui Creek Bridge 24/7 until the end of December.

The contractor for this $5 million project is Spectrum Construction Group of Irvine, CA.  It’s scheduled to be complete in Spring of 2022.
