Update: The Camino incident is reporting 5-6 acres with forward progress stopped. Evacuation warnings have been lifted and crews will remain on scene through the night mopping up. Next information release tomorrow at 7 a.m. Traffic restrictions are still in place, according to California Highway Patrol.

Highway 154 is currently shut down as of 5 p.m. to all traffic and commuters are being told to use Highway 101 as an alternate route, as U.S. Forest Service and Santa Barbara County Fire crews are trying to contain a vegetation fire that broke out.

The “Camino Fire” was reported around 4:34 p.m. and moving uphill, according to County Fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli.

Sheriff’s officials sent out evacuations warnings for the area of West Camino Cielo and Highway 154. Evacuation warnings were also in place for East Camino Cielo.
